In recent months, there have been a number of high-profile litigation cases in which legal fees have been at issue. Among the highest profile of those cases is the Apple-Samsung patent litigation in which the judge identified sloppy billing practices by the opposing counsel for both companies. Join attorney Patrick Maloney to learn about common billing issues clients face when working with outside counsel and get tips on how to avoid them. This program is valuable for business leaders, inside counsel and outside counsel.
About the Speaker:
Patrick M. Maloney helps clients solve business problems through litigation, dispute resolution and negotiation. An experienced commercial litigation attorney, he has represented clients in trials and arbitrations in state and federal courts. Mr. Maloney is a staunch advocate of fair billing practices and regularly works with clients to resolve fee disputes with outside counsel arising from bill padding, fraud and other overcharges. Patrick, based in Los Angeles, is a University of San Diego School of Law Graduate and currently represents clients throughout Southern California.
